Cookie Policy

How and why we use cookies and similar technologies, and the choices you have.

Last updated: August 14, 2026

1. Scope

Rakita runs on two domains, and they behave differently:

  • rakita.io — the marketing site you are reading now. It uses essential cookies, plus analytics cookies only if you consent.
  • platform.rakita.io — the signed-in product. It uses strictly necessary cookies only. No analytics, no advertising, no cross-site tracking, and no consent banner, because there is nothing optional to consent to.

2. Essential cookies

These are required for the sites to work. They cannot be switched off, and we do not ask consent for them.

Cookie / storageWherePurposeLifetime
Authentication session platform.rakita.io Keeps you signed in and ties requests to your account. Session, extended on activity
Passkey challenge platform.rakita.io Short-lived value that makes a passkey sign-in resistant to replay. A few minutes
rk-consent (local storage) rakita.io Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we stop asking. Until you clear site data

3. Analytics cookies

On rakita.io we use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and how they arrived, so we can improve the site. It measures pages viewed, referrer, approximate location derived from IP, and device and browser type.

Analytics is off by default. We implement Google Consent Mode v2 with every non-essential category set to denied before any Google tag loads. Nothing is measured until you press Accept in the cookie banner. If you press Decline, analytics stays denied and we remember that choice.

We do not use advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not use Google Analytics data for ad targeting. We do not sell any of it.

4. Third-party requests

Some pages load resources from other origins. These are not cookies, but they do reveal your IP address to the provider:

  • Google Fonts — the typefaces used across the site.
  • unpkg — the Phosphor icon stylesheet.
  • Cloudflare — serves and protects the site itself.

5. Your choices

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by pressing Cookie settings in the site footer, which reopens the banner. Declining takes effect immediately.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a “do not track” or equivalent privacy control. Blocking essential cookies on platform.rakita.io will prevent you from signing in.

6. More information

Cookies are one part of a wider picture. What we collect, why, who processes it and how long we keep it is set out in the Privacy Policy, and your rights over that data are explained on Your Data Rights. Questions: hello@rakita.io.
